An ongoing collaborative piece I am creating with the very talented Jack McCall. Jack and me go to different schools, and now that we only really see each other over the summer we’ve decided to produce one piece together every summer. The pieces will take the form of small makeshift shelters created using only string and objects found in the environments in which they are installed. The places of installation I’m sure will vary year to year, this is our second structure the first unfortunately was left undocumented on a small lake island, so once this structure was built we remedied that situation and had a small photo-shoot. By doing so we were putting the more permanent two-dimensional work as the priority to the very temporary three-dimensional shelter so we began to put each other in the shelter and light fireworks and created these photographs, which capture the space being used. After a couple years we will hopefully pull the photographs together and have a fairly impressive body of work to show. This being a work in progress I am very excited to see how it turns out in the end!
